Richard Avery has photographed some of the most beautiful women in the world of adult and built amazing sites for porn stars that make up the Juliland Universe.
But now, he’s putting down the camera (temporarily) to produce a documentary for world-class photographer Chris Cuffaro.
Cuffaro recently launched his website, Greatest Hits, with 100 of the most iconic images of his 30-year career, including black and white photos Iggy Pop, Dave Navarro, Jane’s Addiction, George Michael, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Rob Zombie, Gwen Stefani, and many more.
The website is the basis for his upcoming exhibition of his work later this year in Los Angeles.
Avery is working hard with his amazing network to help fund the documentary of the making of Cuffaro’s exhibition. This film will document the making of the exhibition and tell not only Cuffaro’s stories, but also the subjects’ stories behind the photos.
To make the documentary, Cuffaro has set up a campaign on crowdfunding site SeedAndSpark.com.
“I know a lot of people in adult and beyond, and I’m hoping that will help make Cuffaro’s dream a reality — he’s a good kid who needs someone big behind him,” says Richard Avery.
“We’ve had the campaign up for less than 24 hours and we’re almost 25 percent there. That’s what happens when you know people in the right places.”
The campaign will be up until August 17th. Cuffaro is looking for funds for cameras, lighting, transportation, locations, travel, the crew, and craft services.
Of course, there are incentives, including digital copies of the film, signed prints from the exhibition and an invitation to attend the opening. Find out more by going to SeedAndSpark.com
About Richard Avery
Following in the footsteps of the legendary erotic photographer Helmut Newton, and fashion photographers such as Richard Avedon, Irving Penn, and Peter Lindberg, Richard Avery is one of the brightest, most gifted new stars to appear on the adult and erotic scene in over a decade.
Mr. Avery’s fresh approach to the use of models, lighting, camera angles, wardrobe and make-up, along with today’s most advanced digital imaging technologies, allow him to capture the beauty and seduction of the human form in the most artistic, erotic, and yet unexpected ways.
While his photographs brought him instant commercial success as well as a growing reputation and legions of fans, Avery’s work also brought him an admirer that would change his world forever – Juli Ashton, who discovered Avery’s work during one of her many visits to New York.
In January of 2006, the highly anticipated partnership of Ashton and Avery finally came to a culmination and Juliland.com, was created. Contemporary, stylish, clean, sexy, nasty and most of all fun, Juliland.com has reinvented the genre of erotic media.
And, the crazy universe of Juliland would be absolutely nothing without Avery. He’s not only devilishly handsome and outrageously talented, but he’s an excellent chef, lover, and the sickest fuck you will ever meet. Juliland is much more than a website or a place to find naked grrls, it’s a family and an experience. It’s like Disneyland for adults.
Today (if you’re lucky), you can find Richard based in Los Angeles, constantly traveling the globe, seeking and shooting new and established talent for his diverse film, web and publishing projects. The big thing about Richard is that he’s passionate and really loves what he is doing. His motto is “if it’s not going to be fun, then I’m not showing up!”
